Fantastic interview. I just adore this man for giving us MST3K. Sadly, it did remind me that I do not own Mitchell on DVD. Even stragner, I can't find it in one of their collections. Eeeks. I NEED!!
Nice side note, my 17 year old niece and her friends are now all MST3K fans. So yes, it's hitting the next generation. *proud aunt*
Yes! Even more insight into the birth of Mystery Science Theater 300 than I had heard before! It is great to hear Joel mention Michael Weldon's 'Psychotronic' work! Thank you Steve as well as whoever else made contact to Joel!
I happen to love both Joel and Mike, so it is possible to love both. I can watch MST3K over and over
Hope our banter didnt make you guys think that there can be only one. I love a crapload of mike eps as well and quote Space Mutiny and Hobgoblins as much as ANY episode.
Great interview! Anytime someone can get Joel to go on for awhile about his inspirations and how he thinks, it's a real treat.
For me it's not about Joel v. Mike...it's about Comedy Central era v. Sci-Fi era...and Comedy Central era MST3K era wins--gotta have Trace and Frank!
His ... voice ... is so .... soporific ... zzzz ... love the guy though!
